The next generation
My Mum bought Tiana a little sewing machine, a very basic, straight stitch only type thing, but gee - does Tiana think she is just it and a bit!!
Her first creation was a windsock, which is now set up at our front gate :-) (and of which I still need to take a photo of...)
Her next was a bib for her little brother :-) In these photos here you'll see her sewing said bib, and then showing off the finished product, she is so incredibly proud of her efforts :-D

Well done Tiana!! I bet your brother is going to love it!
WOW. What an intelligent child to manage sewing at 4. GREAT work DD
Well done Tiana. Shibley is she only 4? I saw a little machine in SL the other day and I was going to get it for Charlotte but it said from 6 years.
Wow! Way to go Tiana, that is amazing work! I haven't even thought of getting Jaynie near a machine...
Yep, Tiana is 4 (5 in January). Mum bought the machine at BIG W, for around $27 I think. Tiana is a bit shy around the needle (which is a good thing, means she's less likely to sustain an injury I suppose!) She controlled the foot, whilst I fed the fabric through - so really, a team effort, but she did most of it by herself :-D
Oh Golly this post made me all warm and fuzzy. It is so wonderful to see a love of sewing passed down from mother to daughter. She looks so sweet at the machine. I can't wait to see more of her creations!
Tiana, that's great! Well done, fantastic effort.
Wow,
I have a little machine that was my mum's (it is actually still at her place) But she can't wait to give it to Amelia (mind you - it will be stored for a few more years as Amelia is only 12 months old)
But I used to make dolly clothes on it when I was young. But mine doesn't have a foot - you have to manually to it!
Regards Kylie
That is so lovely. I hope that all out kids will show an interest in sewing.
That is just too cute. How wonderful for you to share that with your daughter.
That is so great that Tiana is into sewing. It is a skill that she can use for life!
My Ashie is just enthralled with Tiana and wants to sew a teddy now! How adorable, what a clever girl.
