The next generation

My Mum bought Tiana a little sewing machine, a very basic, straight stitch only type thing, but gee - does Tiana think she is just it and a bit!!

Her first creation was a windsock, which is now set up at our front gate :-) (and of which I still need to take a photo of...)

Her next was a bib for her little brother :-) In these photos here you'll see her sewing said bib, and then showing off the finished product, she is so incredibly proud of her efforts :-D

Well done Tiana. Shibley is she only 4? I saw a little machine in SL the other day and I was going to get it for Charlotte but it said from 6 years.

Yep, Tiana is 4 (5 in January). Mum bought the machine at BIG W, for around $27 I think. Tiana is a bit shy around the needle (which is a good thing, means she's less likely to sustain an injury I suppose!) She controlled the foot, whilst I fed the fabric through - so really, a team effort, but she did most of it by herself :-D

Oh Golly this post made me all warm and fuzzy. It is so wonderful to see a love of sewing passed down from mother to daughter. She looks so sweet at the machine. I can't wait to see more of her creations!

Wow,

I have a little machine that was my mum's (it is actually still at her place) But she can't wait to give it to Amelia (mind you - it will be stored for a few more years as Amelia is only 12 months old)

But I used to make dolly clothes on it when I was young. But mine doesn't have a foot - you have to manually to it!

Regards Kylie
